Medical Protective Delays Payment Requirements, Suspends Cancellations Due to Iowa Disaster Emergency Proclamation
June 20, 2011 – In response to a disaster emergency proclamation and in accordance with Bulletin 11-02 issued by the Iowa Commissioner of Insurance, Medical Protective will temporarily postpone all premium payments for insureds in affected counties bordering the Missouri River. In addition, a temporary suspension of cancellations and non-renewals for the insureds will also be in effect.
The counties listed in the disaster declaration are: Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Pottawattamie and Woodbury.
